Hillsborough deputies injured after SUV plows into cruiser

- Two Hillsborough County deputies were transported to a hospital after they were hit during a traffic stop, officials said.

The traffic stop occurred early Thursday morning at Adamo Drive and 78th Street. According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, one deputy was outside the cruiser, while the other one was inside it. 

An SUV drove up behind them, and crashed into the cruiser, officials said. That SUV overturned. The SUV driver was uninjured, officials said.

The agency said their deputies have non-life threatening injuries.
