Hillsborough River turns green for St. Patrick's Day

TAMPA (FOX 13) - Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn was on hand to help turn the Hillsborough River green for St. Patrick's Day.

The annual River O’ Green Fest is taking place Saturday at Curtis Hixon Park. Boats began dyeing the river bright green around 11 a.m. 

The festivities will continue into the evening. Attendees can enjoy Irish fare, beer, Irish dancing and live music.

Admission to the River O’ Green Fest is free.
