Hillsborough sexual battery suspect may have more victims, deputies say

- A sexual battery suspect may have more victims, deputies say.

In April, Hillsborough County deputies arrested Jerry Roberts after they say he threatened a victim with a machete and sexually battered her. But when searching through his phone, deputies say they found a video showing Roberts sexually battering a second victim, who appeared to have been drugged and may have been unconscious.

Investigators reached out to the woman, who was out of state. She confirmed that she was indeed the victim seen in the footage, but she was unaware that the video even existed.

Now, additional charges have been filed against Roberts, 31.  He is still in jail.

Anyone who believes they may have been a victim or anyone who may know a potential victim are asked to contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Ofifce at 813-247-8200.
