Human remains found in War Veterans Memorial Park

- Human remains were found in the War Veterans Memorial Park, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

The remains were found at 9600 Bay Pine Boulevard in unincorporated St. Petersburg.

Detectives say the skeletal remains have not been identified. They did not know if the remains were from a male or female. 

Deputies responded to the park around 10:49 a.m. Tuesday. An investigation into the person's death was underway.
