Oldsmar home heavily damaged in fire

- A large home in Oldsmar sustained heavy damage in a fire Sunday morning.

The fire broke out at the home on Lafayette Boulevard around 6:30 a.m. The house is two stories and approximately 3,500 square feet.

Fire crews called a second alarm because of heavy smoke and flames coming from the structure. Several firefighters from surrounding agencies were called in to help.

The residents of the home escaped uninjured, officials said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
