LARGO (FOX 13) - Pinellas County deputies arrest a Largo woman for attempted murder after they say she stabbed a man inside her vehicle.
Detectives say 26-year-old Erin Jackson, picked up the victim, 21-year-old Richard Richardson earlier for an alleged drug exchange and then drove him to Walsingham Park.
According to the report, the two got into an altercation when Jackson allegedly stabbed Richardson with a pocket knife.
Witnesses told authorities, they heard Richardson scream after he had been stabbed, then saw him crawl from the front passenger seat to the driver’s side and out of the vehicle. Witnesses say they saw the vehicle back out of a parking space and drive off from the park.
Richardson was taken to Bayfront Medical Center for life-threatening injuries.
Detectives say Jackson called her boyfriend, Kenneth Hoover, claiming she had been attacked. Hoover admitted to helping her cover up the crime.
Jackson admitted to stabbing Richardson to investigators and said he was not armed and did not make any threatening statements to her.
Deputies arrested Jackson and Hoover.
