Lost parakeet found in Clearwater after storms

- A parakeet was found by a homeowner in Island Estates and he hopes to return the pet to its owner.

Paul Bouffard contacted FOX 13 News about the bird he found under his overturned barbeque in his back yard. He said when he turned the barbeque upright, the bird was hiding underneath.

"Clearly it's someone's pet that, no doubt, accidentally escaped... I am hoping to find 'Mr. Lucky's' owner, who, no doubt, is missing their best friend today," Bouffard said in an email.

Bouffard lives in the 400 block of Palm Island SE in Clearwater. Anyone who believes they know who the parakeet belongs to should call him at (727) 482-2500.
