Man dies in Pinellas Park house fire

- Authorities in Pinellas Park said a man died in a house fire Friday evening.

The fire broke out around 7:30 p.m. at a home on 97th Terrace North. When firefighters arrived at the scene, flames were visible from the home. 

Firefighters said they found 60-year-old Gilbert Murphy still inside the home. Murphy was taken from the house and rushed to Northside Hospital, where he later died.

The State Fire Marshal will investigate the cause of the fire, however officials said it is not suspicious.
