Man evens 'quarters' game score with sledgehammer

- Police in St. Pete are hoping you can help them find the guy who used a hammer to take out his frustrations on a coin game machine.

Police say it was Sunday afternoon when the man seen in surveillance video apparently became frustrated by repeated losses at the 'quarters' game inside Teresa's Food Mart on 30th Avenue N.

The man walked outside to his car, pulled out a sledgehammer, and smashed the game.

Footage shows the man grab a handful of quarters and calmly walk away -- perhaps satisfied and certainly a few cents richer, but now a wanted man.

Anyone with information is asked to call St. Pete police at (727) 893-7780.
