Man fatally shot inside Highlands County bar
AVON PARK (FOX 13) - The Highlands County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that left a 62-year-old man dead Friday night.
The incident happened shortly before 11 p.m. at the Kool Runnings bar on Garrett Road in Avon Park.
According to detectives, there were several people inside the bar when shots were fired, but only a few stayed to speak to investigators. Deputies are now searching for additional witnesses.
It's unclear what led up to the shooting. The victim's identity hasn't been released pending next of kin notification.
