A man was arrested for setting a Tampa building on fire, three times.

Tampa police say they haven't arrested 46-year-old Carroll DeMoss for arson. When firefighters responded to the former Ybor Resort and Spa building at 1512 East 8th Avenue Friday morning, smoke was coming from the building, which is vacant now.

According to Tampa police, the man started a fire at the building, and officers at the scene told FOX 13 he has set it on fire twice before that. The dates and times of the prior incidents have not been released.

Damage to the buliding has been estimated at $3,000.

Two fires were set in March at the building, which resulted in $100,000 in damage, but it’s not clear if those incidents are connected to the arrested suspect.
