Man shot after catching juveniles breaking into his car


A Pinellas Park man is recovering after being shot by a person trying to break into his car.


Police say that just after 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning Alexander Weaver saw at least 3 male subject breaking into his car. Weaver went outside to confront the trio, and eventually began to chase the suspects on foot.


One of the suspects pulled a gun and fired at Weaver, hitting him in the arm.


Weaver was taken to a local hospital and treated with non-life threatening injuries.


The only description of the suspects at this time is 3 male suspects believed to be juveniles.
