Man shot in St. Petersburg

- St. Petersburg Police officers are investigating a shooting in the area of 47th Street South near Gulfport.
Officers on scene say around 3:50 a.m. this morning, a 29-year-old man walked to this location to meet another man. During the meeting, the victim was shot once in the chest. The victim was transported to Bayfront with non life threatening injuries. St. Petersburg Police say the shooting is drug-related.

The intersection of 22nd Ave. and 49th Street South is closed while St. Petersburg Police investigate the scene.
