There seems to be a black cloud over Kyle Cook's head. He was just bitten by an Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake.

Amazingly, when you talk to him, he doesn't seem too flustered. That's because it's just the latest in a series of unfortunate events that go back years.

"I am at the wrong place at the wrong time, all the time," he told FOX 13.

Cook was mowing his lawn when he heard a noise. He though it was cicadas. He turned off the mowed and discovered a 5 foot rattler hidden in the underbrush. He snapped a photo, and it struck him in the lower leg.

"I fell back, and when it struck again, that's when I knew I need to get outta here,"  Cook said.

He went to the hospital, was treated, and survived. He has had a lot of other near death experiences as well. A few months ago, he was bitten by a brown recluse spider. Him hand swelled and the pain began.

"It's probably the top 3 worst pains in my life," Cook recalled.

Four years ago, he was working outside during a storm. He had one hand on a truck and a foot in water. Lightning struck nearby, and traveled through him.

"What did it feel like, when you you got hit," FOX 13 asked.

"Mike Tyson and a jack hammer hitting me right in the jaw," he responded.

Even after all he has been through, Cook says he isn't bitter.

"It needs to stop now though," he said.
