Man uses paintball gun to hold up stores

- For the second time in just one week, a robber with a paintball gun demands money from a clerk and gets away with it. The Polk County Sheriff's Office believes the two cases are connected.

On Monday, the man walked into a CVS on Winter Lake Road in Winter Haven and pointed the gun at the clerk.  He demanded money then ran off.

Just one day earlier, there was a similar situation at a Circle K right across the road.

In both cases, the man had his face covered with a bandanna and was wearing gloves.

If you know something about either of these, deputies ask that you call the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
