Marijuana-laced gummies lead to arrest of Pasco County woman

- When Pasco County deputies made a traffic stop, they found marijuana gummy bears inside the vehicle.

The traffic stop occurred as the vehicle, driven by 23-year-old Kaitlynn Neal, was leaving the Belmony Hotel in Port Richey. Deputies said they had their K9 conduct a “narcotic sniff” and detected drugs.

Inside a backpack, deputies said they found 55 grams of marijuana, along with 212 grams of marijuana gummy bears. A field test showed the gummy bears tested positive for THC. Deputies said Neal admitted that the items belonged to her.

She was arrested on possession of marijuana charges.
