Missing teen's body found near Skyway Bridge
ST. PETERSBURG (FOX 13) - Authorities now say a body found near a Skyway fishing pier is indeed the 16-year-old who disappeared while hanging out with friends in that area early Tuesday morning.
Friends told police that Brandon Sun was using drugs when he walked away from the group around 3 a.m. His friends said they couldn't find him.
Sun's mother reported him missing Tuesday evening. The teen has run away in the past, police said.
Crews spent the morning looking for any sign of the teen on the west side of the bridge. This afternoon, a fisherman at one of the fishing piers spotted a body, which has now been identified as the missing teen.
