A motorcyclist died after he was ejected over the side wall of Interstate 275, and onto the roadway below it. It's the second deadly motorcycle crash in less than a week, and both were under similar circumstances.

Early Thursday morning, the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on I-275 when he lost control, according to Florida Highway Patrol troopers. Investigators said Verlon John McDonald of Largo collided with the guardrail along the overpass to Lois Avenue.

After the collision, troopers said the 51-year-old was ejected and propelled off the overpass and onto Lois Avenue. He passed away after the crash.

About one week ago, a similar accident occurred on Interstate 4. A hit-and-run crash caused a motorcyclist to run into and over the highway wall. That driver fell onto 50th Street and passed away from his injuries.
