Animal cruelty and indecent exposure -- Just two of the charges an elderly Polk County man is facing after an alleged tirade against his "terrorist" neighbor.

Police say it started two weeks ago, when 71-year-old Jackie Hammack accosted his neighbor from down Highland Crest Loop in Lake Wales, calling him a "Muslim terrorist" and threatening to unleash his dogs on him.  He allegedly followed through on that threat Monday evening.

As the victim was walking his dog down the street, police say Hammack opened his door and released five of his own dogs, two of which began attacking the neighbor's small-breed poodle.  Hammack's wife called the dogs back in, but police say he let them back out to resume the attack -- twice.

Each time Hammack came to the door, police say, he was naked -- a fact witnessed by at least two other neighbors.

The poodle was taken to an emergency vet clinic, where it was treated for puncture wounds along its back and rear, along with possible internal injuries.

Police say Hammack, meanwhile, denied coming to the door naked but did admit that he sent his dogs to attack the neighbor.

"Oh, yes sir, absolutely," he told the arresting officer, according to the affidavit.  "I hate that terrorist [expletive.]"

Hammack also faces felony charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
