Nearby 'altercation' locks down South Tampa school

- A brief "modified lockdown" at Plant High School was lifted Wednesday afternoon.  

Officers were searching for two vehicles in the neighborhood, Tampa police said. According to TPD, two vehicles drove off into the area of Dale Mabry Highway and Sevilla Street after "some sort of altercation."

"There are no known injuries or threats to the public at this point," a police spokesperson added.
