Officer involved shooting in Tampa

Tampa Police say officers have shot and killed a man that was wielding a machete at his teenage cousin. Officers say they responded to 1805 N Marvy Avenue just before 7pm on Saturday night and ordered  Sidney T Richardson IV to drop the weapon but he refused.

The responding officers then used a taser on Richardson but he still did not drop the machete, that is when police say they feared for their safety and the safety of the teen and shot him.  Police say Richardson's cousin, Jessica Marsh, 17 was not injured.
