Man dies under collapsed wall at construction site

TAMPA (FOX 13) - A man was killed after a wall being built to separate homes from the roadway collapsed.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office identified the construction worker's death as 37-year-old Alan Lee Hendrix from Spring Hill. He worked for Spivey Construction.

Hillsborough Fire Rescue said it happened around 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Bruce B Downs and Bearss Avenue in Tampa.

Investigators were working to figure out what made the wall fall.
