One person, 2 dogs killed in house fire

- Authorities in Crystal River say one person is dead after a fire at a mobile home shortly after midnight on Sunday.

It happened at a home on West Fairoak Court, and crews arriving on scene found out that someone was inside the mobile home at the time of the fire.  Unfortunately, they were not able to get that person out safely.

By the time crews knocked out the fire enough to go inside, they found one person dead along with two large dogs.

"It is hard to put into words just how difficult it is to lose someone like this," said Battalion Chief L.J. White who was at the scene.  "We are praying for the family and friends who have lost this loved one."

The victim's name has not yet been released, and the Sheriff's Office is unable to release any further information due to the State Fire Marshal's investigation.
