One was arrested and another is at large after an early morning argument resulted in the shooting death of 19-year-old Marco Roque on Saturday.

Hillsborough County Sheriffs say the incident involved two groups of people, known to each other and driving in separate cars. At approximately 12:45am an argument between the groups began at the intersection of Sassey Court and Cujoe Lane in Gibsonton.

At the intersection, police say Roque exited out of one of the vehicles carrying a baseball bat. Roque walked over and proceeded to strike the front windshield of the other vehicle, shattering the glass.

According to detectives, James Thomas Dormany, while inside the vehicle was struck by Roque and pulled out a handgun and shot him at least once in the upper body.

Roque managed to get back into his vehicle and was driven to a local hospital where he was dropped off and later died.

Detectives say they later located Dormany, a convicted felon, with the firearm and the vehicle he was in at the time of the shooting. Dormany was arrested without incident, taken to the Hillsborough County Jail and charged with being in possession of a firearm.
