An overturned tractor-trailer blocked traffic along Interstate 75 in northern Hillsborough County for a few hours this afternoon.

According to troopers, an Acura SUV "traveling at high speed" swerved across all four lanes of northbound I-75 at the Bruce B. Downs exit and collided with the cab of the truck. The truck's trailer -- carrying a "hazmat load of alcohol-based food-grade apple-flavor liquid" -- overturned and slid along the road for 200 feet and taking out a light pole before coming to a stop.

The overturned trailer blocked part of the highway, while the emergency response closed the rest of the lanes in both directions.

By 2:30, most of the lanes had reopened.

The truck driver suffered minor injuries but was treated at the scene. The Acura driver, identified by FHP as Kimberly Westfall, 27 -- was taken to Florida Hospital with minor injuries. Charges against her are pending.
