Palm Harbor man dies after falling into pool in wheelchair
PALM HARBOR, Fla. (FOX 13) - A Palm Harbor man drowned on New Year's Eve after falling into the pool in his wheelchair, Pinellas County deputies say.
Deputies were dispatched to the home of Terry Chambers, 68, on Berkshire Court around 4:30 p.m. Monday after he fell into the pool and was reported unresponsive.
Paramedics tried to revive him but he was pronounced dead at the scene, deputies say.
Chambers' wife and caretaker were both at the home at the time of the incident but deputies say they were unable to rescue him.
Deputies are investigating but say the incident does not appear suspicious.
