Pedestrian killed in Tampa wreck
TAMPA (FOX 13) - The Florida Highway Patrol reported a pedestrian was hit and killed in a wreck around 9:50 pm Saturday.
It happened near the intersection of North 56th Street and Society Park Boulevard.
State Troopers said Kafi Kafi, 22, was driving a 2009 Hyundai Sonata north on North 56th Street in the outside travel lane. Betty Ann Rivera, 38, was walking across the road north of Society Park Blvd.
Investigators said Rivera walked into the path of the Sonata and was hit.
She was taken to a nearby hospital where she later died.
