Pilots direct deputies to man with laser

TAMPA (FOX 13) - Deputies have released video in connection with the arrest of a man accused of pointing a laser at a sheriff's helicopter.

The incident happened Wednesday night.  Two helicopter pilots spotted someone inside a car at the Lofts apartment complex on Rocky Circle in Tampa.  They directed patrol units to the car.

The driver, later identified as 20-year old Ismail Muhammad Abdullah, said he was playing with the laser and did it as a joke.  But deputies didn't find it very funny; he has since been taken to the Orient Road Jail.
