Pinellas business owner arrested for sexual battery

A Clearwater business owner is in custody after police say he sexually assaulted a 17-year-old boy.

The man in custody, David West, met the victim several months ago when the victim visited D & D Auto  in Clearwater to try to purchase a used vehicle.

On Saturday, the boy called 911 to report that West picked him up, drove him to his house and forced him to engage in sexual activity with him.

West was arrested early Sunday morning by deputies. He was also charged with having cocaine in his possession.
