Police looking for suspect in Bartow homicide

- Police are looking for a man they think shot and killed his ex-girlfriend in Bartow Saturday night.

Officers responded to the Azalea Gardens apartments and found 27-year old Emily Tensley with a gunshot wound to her abdomen.

Responding officers began CPR upon their arrival and Polk County EMS also responded to the scene and transported Tensley to Bartow Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Police believe 21-year-old Patrick Christopher Panton shot Tensley after the two got into an argument.  He ran off after the shooting.  Anyone with information that could lead authorities to Panton is asked to call Crimstoppers at 800-226-TIPS (8477).
