Police search for driver in hit-and-run crash that killed bicyclist

- St. Petersburg police are searching for the driver in a hit-and-run crash that killed a bicyclist Thursday night.

The crash occurred just before 11:48 p.m. in the 3300 block of 6th Street South. Police responded to a call reporting an injured bicyclist in the roadway.

Police say the man was struck by an unknown vehicle. The suspect vehicle fled the scene.

The bicyclist was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
