Police searching for car after armed carjacking

- Tampa Police are searching for a car they say was taken from the owner at gunpoint Friday night.

The stolen vehicle is a 2014 black 4-door Ford Focus with Florida tag #153 AHM.

Police say the carjacking happened in the area of North Central Avenue and East Kirby Street.  Officers say the female victim was sitting in the parked car when she was approached by the suspect, who opened the vehicle's door, pointed a semi-automatic handgun at her and ordered her out.

The suspect got into the vehicle, and two other men piled in before they drove away.

The victim was not hurt.  Anyone with information is urged to call Tampa Police.
