Polk County Haunted Jail accepting visitors - if you dare

- The old Polk County jail in Bartow has been transformed once again into the Polk County Haunted Jail.

This year's theme is the mythical Ghost of Calvin, named after an inmate who committed suicide in the old jail and whose ghost is said to still haunt the area.

Visitors will get to see what lurks within the jail cells and there is even a separate room for the youngest visitors with lots of treats and games.

The cost of the tour is a $6 donation, which benefits the United Way of Central Florida.

The jail is open to all who dare on Friday and Saturday, October 20th and 21st, and Friday and Saturday October 27th and 28th. The jail is located at 455 North Broadway Avenue in Bartow.
