Power line accident sends 2 to hospital

- Two tree-trimmers were injured after coming into contact with a power line this afternoon.

The two men were hospitalized after some of their gear -- possibly a ladder -- hit a line in the 4800 block of West Estrella Street.  They were taken to Tampa General Hospital with critical injuries.

A TECO spokesperson says the men appeared to be part of a tree-trimming crew, but it was not clear what company they worked with.

TECO workers and Tampa police remain at the scene, interviewing witnesses.
