Publix closer to opening at USF

- USF students may soon be able to get groceries without ever leaving campus.  Publix may set up shop on campus next year.

The store would be part of an expansive new student housing project.

Trustees approved plans for a 28,000-square-foot store to be built on the corner of Fletcher Avenue and USF Palm Drive.

Today the full Board of Trustees voted yes; only one person said no.

It now moves to the Board of Governors.
