Publix makes debut on Fortune's World's Most Admired companies list
Publix has made its way onto the list of the world's most admired companies.
Fortune.com released the list this week showing Publix Supermarkets making its debut at 49 out of 340 companies. It's the only Florida-based company to make the list.
The Most Admired List is a report card on corporate reputations, according to Fortune. The companies were chosen by thousands of executive, directors and securities analysts who weighed in on criteria from investment value to social responsibility.
The top seven to make the list were:

Berkshire Hathaway
Disney
Starbucks
Southwest Airlines
