Red Cross assisting family after fire

WINTER HAVEN (FOX13) - Polk County Fire Rescue is on the scene of a house fire.

It happened Saturday night just before 9 P.M. on 9th Street and Snively Avenue in Winter Haven.

When fire crews got in scene they say about half of the wood-frame home was on fire.

A 25-year-old man, 24-year-old woman and two children got out of the home unharmed. The Red Cross is now assisting the family with shelter, clothes and food.

Fire investigators believe the fire started in the back of the home, but an exact cause is still not known.

The state fire marshal is on scene trying to figure out if the fire was arson or accidental.
