The wildfires in Smoky Mountains have ravaged the lives and homes of hundreds, including a local Lakeland couple.

Wyatt Jones and his wife own a cabin in Gatlinburg. But after the fires ripped through the area, all that is left is a scorched plot of land where their dream home once stood.

Jones sent FOX 13 the dramatic before and after pictures of the cabin. He said the ironic thing is that he's actually a retired Polk County firefighter who served 18 years.

The Jones's plan to rebuild the cabin, which they've had for over 15 years.
