School assistant principal arrested for marijuana cookie

- A "special" cookie landed a Pasco County high school assistant principal in jail on Monday.

Donna Lynch Haff, the assistant principal at Anclote High, admitted herself to the hospital after reportedly overdosing on cookies made with cannabis oil. She was released on Monday and taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance.

The cookie tested positive for THC in a presumptive field test. Haff's 19-year-old daughter, who was also arrested, admitted to deputies that the cookie belonged to her. She told deputies that she got the cookies from a coworker because her mother wanted to try marijuana for her 50th birthday.

Haff has been put on administrative leave with pay.
