WB Ulmerton reopens following school bus crash

- Two westbound lanes of Ulmerton Road have reopened at Starkey Road following a crash involving a school bus.

The view from SkyFOX shortly after 6:30 a.m. showed a car nearly halfway underneath the back of the bus after they crashed at the Lake Boulevard intersection.

Bayflite arrived to transport the driver of that car to the hospital with serious injuries.

It is unclear whether any students were on board at the time of the crash.

Locals were urged to avoid the area for a couple of hours while officials worked to clear the scene.

All lanes have since reopened.

FOX 13 will continue with updates on this developing situation.
