Shots fired at Ellenton apartment complex

- The Manatee County Sheriff's Office is investigating after shots were fired inside an apartment complex early Saturday morning.

The incident happened short before 1 a.m. at the Tuscany Lakes Apartments off 60th Avenue East in Ellenton.

Deputies said multiple residents called 911 to report hearing five to six gunshots in the complex.

Investigators said no one was injured, but one round did go into an apartment. The bullet went through a glass door and a couch before lodging into a wall, deputies said. A resident in the apartment was fortunately in another room at the time.

Deputies said the suspects were not located. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact MCSO.
