One person is dead after a small plane crashed at St. Pete-Clearwater Airport late this morning.

Video from SkyFOX showed the small twin-engine plane crashed near one of the runways.

Airport officials say the pilot was performing touch-and-gos -- which are practice take-offs and landings -- when the crash occurred.

The pilot -- identified as 24-year-old Marshall Barath of Idaho -- did not declare an emergency before the crash.
