ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (FOX 13) - Floridians don't have to drive far to get to the snow this winter season, there's snow in St. Petersburg!
"Snow Blast" has arrived at Tyrone Square Mall with a 10,000 square foot snow pavilion that features a large snow play area and eight lanes of snow tubing.
The organizers of Snow Blast say it's real snow, too, not artificial and not made with chemicals. They pump 50 tons of snow per day and fluff it all throughout the day so people can play in it.
The event opened up December 1st and runs through January 7th.
It's colder than most Floridians are used to, so they suggest long pants, hats, and gloves for the experience. For more information, head to https://www.snowblastfl.com/.
