Soldier's remains arrive in Miami

- Tuesday was a sad night in Miami as a fallen hero’s remains returned home.

The body of Sgt. La David Johnson was flown back to Florida, where his wife and child awaited his casket.

Johnson’s wife, Myeshia Johnson and their daughter stood nearby as Sgt. Johnson’s casket was unloaded from a plane and loaded into a hearse to be taken to its final resting place.

The Green Beret from Miami Gardens is one of four U.S. soldiers killed by ISIS-linked fighters on October 4 in Niger.

Special operations forces have been working with the African nation's military in the fight against extremists.
