"Spice" causing overdoses across Tampa Bay
CLEARWATER (FOX 13) - The synthetic drug “spice” is becoming a real problem in the Tampa Bay area, causing more and more overdoses.
Police are working to put a stop to it.
Sunday, Clearwater police arrested 7 people at Crest Lake Park on a variety of charges, including those relating to synthetic marijuana.
“Spice” has caused a number of medical emergencies and overdoses at the park recently.
On Saturday, first responders in St. Petersburg found about a dozen homeless people at Unity Park suffering from seizures, all believed to be caused by “spice.”
