St. Pete condo fire results in 1 dead, 1 injured

One person was found dead following a St. Petersburg condo fire.

St. Pete Fire Rescue said they responded to the reported fire around 4:30 a.m. on Thursday in the 4700 block of Coquina Key Drive SE.

They said two people lived inside the home. One injured victim was found outside when firefighters arrived. That person was transported to Tampa General Hospital and suffered third-degree burns. A second individual was found inside the condo, and was confirmed deceased.

The victims identities have not been released. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
