Suspect armed with machete robs gas station, police say

A man armed himself with a machete to rob a Plant City gas station, detectives say, and ran from the scene before police arrived.

Plant City detectives say they need help identifying the suspect, who entered a Circle K gas station at 1514 Alexander Street South on Tuesday before 2 a.m.

The suspect demanded money from the store clerks, and ran away after he received cash, police say

The unidentified man is described as a white male, 5’6 feet tall, thin building and was wearing a black-hooded sweater that zips up on the front, black pants and shows, a black headband with a green marijuana leaf on the front and a black bandana covering his face.
