Suspect arrested after woman fatally shot in Tampa
TAMPA (FOX 13) - Tampa police said a suspect was arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that happened Saturday night.
According to police, the shooting happened at the Tampa Super Stop gas station at E Lake Avenue and N. 34th Street.
The victim, identified as 50-year-old Metosha Godwin, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police said the gunman is 39-year-old Sol Hoke. Hoke allegedly fled the scene after the shooting, but was taken into custody following a standoff near Fletcher Avenue and N. 20th Street.
According to a friend, Godwin was the girlfriend of the suspect.
