Suspect uses garage door opener to burglarize home

- Some Pasco County residents are rattled after a burglar took the garage door opener from their car to get into the house while they were sleeping. 

It happened early Tuesday morning. The victims' home security camera caught the suspect coming into the home. 

Moments before, the suspect broke into the victims' unlocked vehicle, removed keys, some papers, and the garage door opener, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office. 

Deputies say the suspect rummaged through the house while the victims were asleep in their bedroom.

The person apparently stole a Bluetooth headset and a black briefcase with a purse, wallet, credit card, and cash inside.

A video posted by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office also shows a person using the victim's credit card at a store. Detectives are unsure if the suspect who broke into the house is the same one who used the card.
