Swimmer pulled from waters near Gandy Bridge

A man was pulled from the north side of the Gandy Bridge by emergency crews Sunday evening. 

Deputies with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a witness about a swimmer in distress just after 7:00 p.m. 

Deputies with the marine and flight units responded to the call along with FWC and Tampa Fire Rescue.

There is no information about the condition of the man who was rescued.
